Rocker Lucas Bidran Joins Jaw Talk for New Single

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Urban Escape drummer Lucas Bidran has joined the alternative rock band Jaw Talk for its upcoming single set for release this fall.

“I am thrilled to join the guys in Jaw Talk in this exciting new single!” Bidran said. “The band has a great energy and a cool musical vibe that makes everyone more creative and work well as a band!”

The song which is still unnamed, features Bidran in his trademark eclectic style that blends intense guitar riffs with a catchy central melody featuring strong harmonies with a powerful lead vocal from guitarist and lead singer Oliver Roman. The upcoming single is the newest for the band which has released a steady stream of singles over the past year. The band is made up of Roman, Evan Myaskovsky on bass, Mason Allport on baritone guitar and vocals and Joel Polacci on percussion.

“Lucas does a great job in this new single, showing great passion and creativity behind the drums,” Roman said. “I’m really proud of the work everyone did on this single and I’m sure fans will appreciate all the hard work we all put into this amazing track!”

Known for his hard driving style that comes from a rhythm and blues and hard rock background, Bidran found a common passion for music with the members of Jaw Talk during the recording sessions.

“This band has more of a soulful vibe to their songs than Urban Escape, which, I love and I listen to that type of music every day, so it wasn't a big change to my approach on drums,” he said. “It was very natural to play with those guys.”

The new single is the latest effort by Bidran, who has been busy recording Urban Escape’s upcoming album set for release on July 26.  The Brazil-born drummer will also be touring with Urban Escape this summer.

The Strings' Frisco Drops New Solo Album

LOS ANGELES, Calif. –  The Strings ' frontman Frisco explores his rock and roll roots in his debut solo album titled “Frisco.”

“I have songs that I’ve been wanting to record for a long time and now is the perfect opportunity to share that with fans,” said Frisco, whose real name is Yahor Tretsyakou-Savich. “It’s the kind of music that is more personal and heavier than the music from “the Strings”, so it’s a departure from the band, but still the kind music that will get people excited.”

The eclectic artist shares his love of music with a blend of nu-metal, alternative rock and electronic music that features Frisco’s musical influences made up of such bands as Muse, Hollywood Undead, Korn, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Evanescence, Skrillex, Marilyn Manson and others that influenced him from early on. The album features the song “Beyond the line” a melodic ballad that explores the notion that no matter what is happening, one should do whatever it takes and never give up for what you think is right.

“It’s all about our mistakes and price which we pay for it, because we’re all just human,” Frisco said. “It’s very melodic song with philosophical lyrics that blend with a strong acoustic sound.”

This newest collection features music that goes from alternative rock and electronic to rhythm and blues with an accent on hard rock. Among these is “Scars” which deals with your emotional and physical scars as a way to remember yourself who you really are and what exactly you are fighting for.

Rocker Rafael Picoli Makes his Mark with his Band Urban Escape

Guitarist Rafael Picoli sets the tone for alternative rock band Urban Escape (Publicity Photo).

LOS ANGELES, Calif.  – Rocker Rafael Picoli says he always had a passion for the guitar. With a love for such bands as Iron Maiden, Metallica and Megadeth, the young boy bought his first guitar and was soon off into world of hard rock and heavy metal in his native Brazil.
Many years later, the talented musician is lead guitarist in the alternative rock band Urban Escape and is busy in the studio working on a series of three EPs to showcase the band’s unique sound.
“We are planning to release three EPs before releasing the full album,” Picoli said. “The songs from those EPs are going to be the songs for the final album as well, and it will be called Urban Escape – the same name of the band.”
With his upcoming EPs, Picoli is making his mark with Urban Escape, featuring a slew of his songs and musical sensibilities that lie in classic and grunge rock along with a hard dose of heavy metal.

“We are working with the five-time Grammy Award-winning producer Lamps (Lampadinha), who is accompanying us throughout this process and will be recording all of our material,” he said. “Best song we’re doing is probably a song called ‘Mary Lee.’ It’s about a girl that was the crush of the lead singer of the band, Eric Urban. It has a very cool chord progression with some great lyrics.

Another major song in the EP will be “Alone,” which blends dark lyrics with hard rock and a melodic sound reminiscent of the Beatles and other classic rock bands he grew up listening.

Born in Monte Azul Paulista, near Sao Paulo, Brazil, Picoli loved playing video games as a child and became enthralled with the game Guitar Hero which allows players to play a guitar shaped controller. But when the game abruptly stopped production, Picoli took up a real guitar to explore his own musical leanings.

After years of playing in local clubs with a number of bands he earned a scholarship at the prestigious Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and soon he traveled to the U.S. and became one of its standout students. Soon after graduation, he would meet some fellow Brazil expatriates to form Urban Escape and develop the band’s unique alternative rock sound.

But even as he began working with his new band, he was already in demand as a guitarist with a number of artists including Sonder City, Joe Abujamra, Kasia Lins, Julian Martel, Inessa, as well as acclaimed artist Larissa Basilio, among others.

“Playing live is one of my favorite things ever. It's great to see the response from the public to the songs you have worked on. Also, you have a different energy when playing live that you don't get anywhere else,” he said. “Playing in a recording studio you have to care more about smaller details and make sure everything sounds perfect, as in playing live, playing with attitude is more important than playing perfect.”

Meanwhile, as Urban Escape prepares to go into the studio, Picoli is looking forward for the band’s tour in support of the EPs. To learn more, follow Rafael Picoli on Instagram at  www.Instagram.com/rafaelpicoli or on Facebook www.Facebook.com/rafael.picoli.1.
