Oxygen to Premiere Two-Night Special 'Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks'

Oxygen is set to premiere its special on serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer on Nov. 11.

NEW YORK – Oxygen Media ventures into the mind of America’s most notorious serial killer when its two-night special "Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks" premieres Saturday, November 11 at 7pm ET/PT.

Twenty-five years ago, Milwaukee resident Jeffrey Dahmer committed and confessed to 17 gruesome murders, shaking the public’s perception of evil to its core. The shocking nature of his crimes – luring young men into his home, where he drugged, sexually violated, killed and eventually consumed his victims – unmasked a madman walking in the shadows and launched the question: how did a once mild-mannered, handsome young man become one of history’s most terrifying and unexpected serial killers?

During his time behind bars, one of the nation’s leading investigative journalists, Nancy Glass, secured both exclusive access and the first televised interview with Dahmer, developing a candid relationship in which he divulged the darkest details of his life and crimes. “Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks” offers a fresh look at the infamous serial killer’s life through the eyes of the woman who became his closest confidant. With new interviews from pivotal figures in the case, the series sheds light on the grizzly and complicated investigation. “‘Dahmer on Dahmer: A Serial Killer Speaks’ catapults viewers into Jeffrey Dahmer’s psyche, providing a unique look at the life of a serial killer that shook the nation,” said Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Development, Oxygen Media. “Nancy Glass’ revealing interview with Dahmer, combined with our access to those who knew him, offers a gripping depiction of a serial killer that walked among us.”

Looking back on her first interview with Dahmer, Nancy highlights on-and-off-camera conversations detailing Dahmer’s disturbing crimes through his own words, giving insight into his dark, depraved manner and reasons for killing. The two-night event offers an in-depth look at the man and monster that was Jeffrey Dahmer with new and exclusive interviews from those closest to him, including parents Lionel and Shari Dahmer, who haven’t spoken about this case or their son publicly in over 20 years, and surviving victims Billy Capshaw and Preston Davis, who have decided to finally break their silence about what happened to them. Their unique experiences with Dahmer throughout various stages of his life expose a serial killer unlike any other – one not motivated by the impulse to kill, but rather the desire to exercise control.
