LOS ANGELES – Richard Elden who was featured recently on
ABC’s “Shark Tank,” with his innovative collapsible cart, has received the
Inspiration Award at the 2017 Entrepreneur Awards.
“I am very thankful and honored to receive this award,” said
Elden, founder and president of dbest products Inc. “It has been our goal to be
creative, innovative, inspiring and most of all of service to those need
quality products like the Smart Cart and its sister product, the Trolly Dolly.”
Elden was presented the award by The World Networks, which
hosted the awards in Los Angeles. Among those honored at the event were
legendary DJ/Music Producer Paul Oakenfold and reality star Kelly Nishimoto.
Known as the creator of the Smart Cart, which resembles
large wheeled luggage cart, Elden has created an entire industry with carts
that have become an indispensable to working and stay-at-home mothers as well
as professionals like lawyers, marketing experts, business executives and
others who must carry books, ledgers, laptops, overhead projectors and more.
Elden is also recognized for his energetic Feb. 3 appearance
on ABC’s “Shark Tank” where he pitched a panel of billionaire investors to back
his effort to grow his company and expand its reach into more “Box” stores like
Walmart, Home Depot and others. Ultimately, Elden secured a $350,000 investment
that will go toward expanding his brand into a multinational powerhouse.
