Maria Olmos Debuts her New Jewelry Line

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Spanish fashion designer Maria Olmos is taking her love of nature to her new passion of making jewelry when she debuts her new jewelry line this month, called “Frescas,” blends style with designs depicting nature.

“This jewelry line is an extension of my own affinity to nature and the beauty it brings us every day,” Olmos said. “I hope people who love nature will also appreciate the passion and the dedication that went into each piece to show a reflection of the majesty and beauty of nature and the natural world.”

The line is available only on www.LAOlmos.com before it makes its debut at retail stores next year.

Olmos says her fascination with nature and its unique shapes and appearances are the inspiration for the jewelry line. Among the pieces making their debut is a colorful copper painted flower ring painted in gold and purple, featuring a small amethyst crystal at the center, while a stylish tiara featuring colorful flowers, bees and butterflies that are interchangeable and showcase Olmos’ vision of melding art with nature in a striking yet unusual design.

“Everything is handmade and contains the crown structure and 13 different interchangeable pieces,” she said. “I always loved jewelry and one of the reasons I love designing jewelry is that you can be more creative than in fashion and the pieces are more durable.”

Making its debut is the stylish butterfly brooch made of silver, featuring a small amethyst crystal to illustrate the butterfly’s head, along with a pair of gold earrings created in the shape of house flies, adorned with sapphires. Other pieces include silver beetle earrings, flower bracelets, rings and more.

LOS ANGELES, Calif.  – “Hollywood Girl: The Peg Entwistle Story” is starring Laura Liguori as ill-fated 1930s actress Peg Entwistle, is now streaming on Amazon Prime.

“Hollywood Girl: The Peg Entwistle Story” tells the story of 24-year-old Peg Entwistle, an aspiring film actress and Broadway muse, Entwistle is mostly known for her infamous and fatal jump off the Hollywood(land) sign in 1932.

Written  and directed by James Pomichter, the film is a creative imagination of Entwistle’s last day, leading up to the moment of her untimely death.

Hollywood legend paints Entwistle as the ghost who haunts the Hollywood sign, but Pomichter hopes the film will move audiences to remember Peg as much more.

“I wanted to show her as a vulnerable, passionate young woman, one who fell victim to despair as so many others did in that time. And had she just held on for a little while longer, things would have turned around for the better,” he said.

Liguori, who stars in the film as Entwistle, conceived the idea for the film while sitting on her balcony looking up at the Hollywood sign. Liguori had just received news that she lost a role she anticipated getting and felt inspired to share Peg’s story.

Supporting roles include veteran actor, Michael Rotthaar as Charles Entwistle, James Pomichter as Robert Entwistle and cameos from Maureen Teefy (Grease 2, Fame, Supergirl), Will Rotthaar (Battle Los Angeles, Killing Kennedy), and Dan Riordan (Dream Girls, Ed Wood).

Composer/music producer James Emley enriches the story with an emotional, original score and musical soundtrack (available on Itunes and Amazon).

“Hollywood Girl: The Peg Entwistle Story” was awarded Best Dramatic Short Film at the Oscar qualifying Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival in Hollywood.

Hollywood Girl: The Peg Entwistle Story is produced by Arcane Pacific Entertainment (Veronica Barriga & James Pomichter) and executively produced by Laura Liguori.
